Once your child has grown past the stage of needing the sensor pads, the monitors can be used as normal sound monitors - but they also have a much longer range than a standard monitor set.

Angelcare was the first company worldwide to introduce the Sensor Pad technology.
The technology has been taken from the medical sector and adapted and improved for the consumer market.

The Sensor Pad is placed under the Cot mattress and detects all baby’s movements, even the slightest breathing.
An alarm will sound on both monitors after 20 seconds if no movement is detected.
One Sensor Pad (if placed correctly) is sufficient for most  baby’s bed sizes (e.g. a cot bed).

There are 4 baby monitoring options available from the parent unit:

Movement: This option will transmit only.
Sound/movement/tic: This option will transmit light and sound with 'tics' (a 'tic' represents each baby movement).
Sound/movement: To hear sounds, see sound lights function but without the 'tic'.
Sound: To hear sounds and see sounds lights on parents units.

Please Note: The Sensor Pad must be completely flat in order to obtain 100% efficiency.  If using with a slatted bed rest the Pad on a piece of 6mm plywood
